Hiking

The Juniata Clean Water partnership now hosts multi-day and single-day hiking trips within the watershed.  Why hold nature hikes?  To promote environmental stewardship and local natural resource awareness!  The attendees who participate in the overnight or day hikes will enjoy a multi-mile, leisure, scenic, informative, and relaxing hike on the many great hiking trails within the watershed.  This is a great opportunity to enjoy nature with a small group of people who have the same interests.  You will learn a little about local history, current conservation projects, and nature.  You do not have to be an experienced hiker, because the trails that are picked are easy to moderate hiking trails.  For more information contact the Juniata Clean Water Partnership at (814) 506-1190.

1st Annual Overnight Hike was held in Rothrock State Forest from June 27 to 28, 2009.
