Hess and DCNR Deputy Secretary Richard Sprenkle spoke at the opening session of the Summit.   President of the Education Resources Group from the PA State System of Higher Education, Kim Coon, was the featured keynote speaker and highlighted the Summit's theme: Leading Progress and Measuring Success in the Watershed.

Training sessions offered at the Summit included How to Create a Successful Watershed Educational Experience, Successes and Stewardship Strides Made by Local Government, and Water Monitoring Basics.
